munin with ec2onrails

hi all,
it would be great to get some visibility on server usage, and munin
sounds like a good tool for that.
has anyone configured the ec2onrails monit to report stats to munin?
it would be great to have the ec2onrails image be able to act as a
munin server as well. or, can someone recommend another image that is
pre-configured as a munin image? i'm happy to help set something up,
but haven't used monit or munin before so hoping to hear from some
folks with more experience.

It's easy to install Munin on Ubuntu, though I'm not sure if the
ec2onrails web server would be configured to show it automatically under
/munin/

If you want to gather stats from multiple hosts and show them on a
single Munin server you'll need to read the docs for how to configure it.

thanks for your thoughts. it does seem pretty simple to set up.

does anyone know of any munin hosts? ie, where you can pay $3 / month
for someone to run a munin process and save your data? it would be
nice if the usage data could be preserved, regardless of ec2 instances
going up and down. and i prefer to outsource this kind of thing...
