Can EBSeq-HMM analyze "single-replicate" experiments, the way EBSeq does?

Hello,
EBSeq is able to perform an analysis with only one replicate per condition by assuming that most genes are not differentially expressed and then estimating variance under this assumption.
Does EBSeq-HMM have this ability as well? I did not find any mention of "single-replicate" scenarios in the EBSeq-HMM publication or manual.
Thank you!

Hello, I had the same question as you and Dr Leng told me that she thought that it might be possible. I will try to run some data and see if the results makes sense.
