Call for Nominations for Inaugural Board of Trustees of Open Access Ebook Usage (OAeBU) Data Trust

In preparation for its evolution into a fiscally sponsored International Data Space, the “Developing a Pilot Data Trust for Open Access Ebook Usage” (OAeBU) project seeks nominations for its inaugural  Board of Trustees for the OAeBU Data Trust.

 

This working board will begin serving in January 2022, with virtual meetings scheduled every other month (estimated commitment of 20 hours per year). Trustees will establish the parameters and processes for ongoing governance of the OAeBU Data Trust by January 2025 according to a framework for governance outlined by the current OAeBU project. We seek to have balanced representation on the Board of Trustees from globally diverse stakeholders of different types (data users and data providers that are commercial or non-commercial publishers, service providers, funders, libraries, or standards organizations).

 

Elected Trustees will decide among themselves on staggered terms up to three years, and the Board of Trustees will select its own chair, treasurer, and secretary for two-year terms.
