The Risk of Bias Code System Development Steering Group started the Step 5 CatalogOfBias Ontology Mapping. However, we are taking a different approach than a pure “Step 5” mapping of the previously set terms. We are taking a “Step 3” approach to review each term in the Catalog of Bias, and either map it to an existing term in the Risk of Bias Code System, or determine where to add the term to expand the Risk of Bias Code System. So far we have evaluated 8 terms in the Catalog of Bias and added 7 new terms to the Risk of Bias Code System. The corresponding concepts include:
The Communications Work Group discussed multiple EBMonFHIR and COKA mentions and presentations at AMIA Virtual Conference this past week. Participants felt these concepts were well received despite technological limitations in the conference limiting bidirectional audio participation. Upcoming presentations (December 2-5) include Guidelines International Network/North America webinar, Hopkins Center for Clinical Trials webinar, and International Conference for Knowledge Management. The group discussed interest in disseminating case examples of the Clinical Trial Results Reporter and furthering research proposals for it. Finally the group decided to cancel next week’s meeting on the day after Thanksgiving.
