Under ubuntu, I am able to successfully compile and install both the core and tools for eblearn.

However in attempting to run through the MNIST demo and downloading the cropped Digits: train_32x32.mat, test_32x32.mat , extra_32x32.mat; the instructions says to run the following to prepare the dataset:

@ubuntu:~/eblearn/demos/svhn$ matlab -nodesktop -nosplash -r svhn_convert_to_images
matlab: command not found

But there is no referenced matlab script. There is ebl2matlab and matshow. Can you please elaborate on this?

Cheers!

Ed,

For the SVHN training, the SVHN dataset is distributed as a matlab .mat file. Hence, to first convert the dataset into standard .jpg images into a folder structure, you need to have matlab installed on your system. We unfortunately have no work-around for this as that's how the SVHN team distributed the dataset.
