Hello wonderful Wildlife Refuge Stewards,
Stewardship Weekends are back! We’re excited to build on the momentum from last year’s launch, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has volunteered your time and energy. Your efforts truly make a noticeable difference for our local Refuge!
Spring is awakening across the landscape. Western redbuds are glowing in vibrant magenta, ceanothus bushes are buzzing with pollinators, and purple needle grass is unfurling its shining purple needles. And yes…the weeds are waking up too, full force, and calling for volunteer action! The Refuge is stretching out of its winter dormancy and could really use some tender loving care from its dedicated stewards. We appreciate you more than words can express.
Your participation and your help spreading the word has a tremendous impact on the Refuge and our surrounding communities. Building strong relationships with the people who care about conservation is essential, and it’s powerful to see volunteers connect with the land they’re protecting.
If you’re ready to stretch your legs, break a sweat, and experience the Refuge in its vibrant spring mode, join us this Sunday, March 8th at 9:00 AM (sign-in begins at 8:45 AM). Please see the Eventbrite link below for details. We hope for another well-attended event, and even if you can’t make it, you can help us immensely by sharing the event with others. You are our best messengers. Please help us spread the word!
