Please only use the handicapped parking space if you have a sticker or need a quick drop off or pick up of mulch etc or Picking up or dropping off the donated vegetable coolers which even empty are cumbersome. Today someone had to pull in sideways to fit and only one car of four had a handicapped plate. The old expression works. One minute is relative to which side of the door you are on.

Hi Tony,
I  was weeding my plot after you left and when I moved the second squash a bunch of tiny white flies came out, almost like a cloud of seeds.  Is that blight and do I need to toss the plant?

Thanks :)

Bobbi

Hi Bobbi
First I want to thank you for doing a amazing job weeding the community area!!!. The white flies normally infest cabbage and broccoli but they do attack squash, it is not blight but they can carry the disease. If the leaves are not wilting you can blow off some of them with the hose. If you are not against killing them pick up an organic pesticide at Ferris or pick up neem at Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership Sat .morning between 11 and 1 on Washington Ave in Mill town near the ice cream parlor
,depending on the dilution it will either just keep them away or kill them.
