donations to senior center

Gardeners,
Please remember to bring you extras to the senior center!
i got a phone call today from the senior center, on behalf of their
new kitchen coordinator/chef who is looking forward to preparing meals
using fresh veggies from our garden.

P.S. we just finished dinner - green and wax beans cooked with onions
and potatoes in tomato sauce. delicious!

i will not be at the garden until labor day. i expect to have more
beans ready to pick in the next few days. If you have time, please
pick those beans (B6) and bring to the senior center.

Steve and I are away visiting the grandchildren in San FrAncisco. We
return on Sunday,Aug.30.
Would greatly appreciate if the garden G3 could be watered.

Perhaps next year we could consider a double plot dedicated to the senior center. with volunteers or each of us promising to put in an hour a month watering weeding etc. Tony

I delivered some produce today to the Senior Center.  They may decide to give some of the harvest to various individual Seniors by a lottery system for them to take home.
