East Brunswick Transition Initiative

Greetings Fellow Gardeners!

I'm just starting up a new community group--The East Brunswick Transition Initiative. It is a well developed plan based on the following:

The Transition Movement is a vibrant, grassroots movement that seeks to build community resilience in the face of such challenges as peak oil, climate change and the economic crisis. It represents one of the most promising ways of engaging people in strengthening their communities against the effects of these challenges, resulting in a life that is more abundant, fulfilling, equitable and socially connected. -- http://transitionus.org/about-us

The transition movement started up in the UK and is quickly spreading across the US. I have been following the Red Bank Transition Group and find it to be well organized with many fun activities. They use the Transition Handbook as a guide.
