Hi All,
Paul saw 2 rabbits in the garden today but no one else was around to help chase them.Perhaps next weekend a few of us could join and walk through the garden making noise and move them out . Cucumber bugs are every where, but in general we are wilting more than our plants are. Cindy did a nice job in the herb garden but all of our gardens and paths need a little TLC. It is just too hot and getting hotter for the next few days. Dave S hit the rhubarb this morning leaves were turning brown, with this hot weather we need to water deeper but not as often. Drying a bit causes the flavor of tomatoes to become more intense. If your plants are strong they will be fine. If your tomatoes are turning red and you won't be back till next weekend pick them put them in a paper bag in a cool spot and they will turn red. Tomatoes flavor is retained if you keep them out of the fridge and intensifies with just a touch of salt. The new side gate is ready. We are just waiting for Lee to bring the new lock.
See you in the garden, Keep cool!
Tony
