Transportation Committee Meeting

The City of Edmonton Transportation Committee is meeting on Wednesday to discuss bike lanes.

Review the agenda (including report). The bike lane discussion begins at 1:30pm.

Register online to speak on agenda item 7.2: Bike Lanes – Consultation Process and Impacts. This is an online form that only takes 60 seconds to fill out. Not sure if you can make it? Register anyway! You can cancel by telephone or e-mail.
Speaking to council is as simple as registering and then speaking for up to 5 minutes (but you are welcome to speak for less time if you prefer).
If you don't wish to speak, please do attend if possible to show your interest and support. The meeting will be Wednesday, 1:30pm in the River Valley Room of City Hall, and is always open to the public.

2013 Bicycle Route Pre-Construction Open Meeting

The pre-construction meeting will discuss the routes, the changes City engineers made to them as a result of the public consultation process, and give participants information about the upcoming installations.
This drop-in meeting will discuss the upcoming 2013 bicycle route installations. City staff will show a presentation of the routes and have maps on hand to help answer questions.

Bike to the Symphony 2013

Details are still being arranged, but book June 4 on your calendar. EBC and the ESO will once again be offering $20 concert tickets (for EBC members) in our annual ride to the Winspear Centre.
A rare chance to revel in the sound of more than 85 musicians on stage as the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra (two orchestras and two conductors!) join forces to perform some of Hollywood’s grandest and most memorable film scores by the legendary John Williams, including JAWS, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and more. A unique event and a sonic spectacular.
