Cardinal set to break into new markets

new jobs as the company breaks into new markets, it has been predicted.
The firm has just secured £1.65m of additional funding from the the
Royal Bank of Scotland's South Wales Commercial team.
Cardinal designs, prints and manufactures plastic and paper carrier
bags. Currently employing 109 people from the local area, the company
aims to acquire additional land at its present site and invest in new
equipment.
Last year it extended its premises on the Rassau Industrial Estate to
62,000 sq ft, which included office and production space for more than
50 new employees.
Basil Tucker, director of Cardinal Packaging, said, "Cardinal has a
clear strategy to drive the business forward and expand into new
markets and this stage of growth will also see the creation of 30 new
jobs in the local area."
Chris Price, senior commercial manager at RBS Commercial Banking, said,
"We are delighted to support Cardinal Packaging with their funding
requirements.

going forward."
