Hi Guys,
Just a belated Merry Christmas from me. There are rather strong East winds here in Phuket. I have been stuck on board for 3 days, and I am getting cabin fever! . It is warm and sunny here, but a bit exposed, with a two mile fetch. The result is the chop gets up a bit. In addition the tidal currents are fairly strong, so Jenain often lies beam on to the wind and the chop.
I have used the enforced time onboard to redesign my sailig awning, which slides into a track on the hard dodger and attatches to both backstays with shock cord and clips, so that it can be easily uncliped every time I tack of jibe, because of the end of boom mainsheet. I plan a new scheme to avoid this, if it works, I will send photos.
Hope the new year brings great voyages to you all,
Bill.
