to East Bay Bike Party, victory...@comcast.net
Hi!

On Oct 10, 2010; people from around the globe will get together to
bring attention to climate solutions (see 350.org and 1010global.org).
I'm the founder of the Victory Garden Foundation Inc (nonprofit,
community-based organization located in Oakland reaching out globally)
promoting, supporting, and encouraging people to grow their food at
and near their home.

We would love it if East Bay Bike Party would plan Bikes to Victory
Gardens tours and party on the morning of Oct 10 as part of our
Victory Gardens for 10-10-10 challenge. And, their are big celebration
parties scheduled throughout the Bay Area in the afternoon. It's
simply; organize a group of bikers and visit Victory Gardens
throughout your area (people are registering their garden work
parties) to spend some time in the garden helping and/or having a bit
of garden faire and tea to chat about ways that you are and can be
more sustainable to help reduce our carbon footprints.

Let me know your interest and if you know of gardeners who would like
to host a Garden Work Party. You may go to
http://www.victorygardenfoundation.org/101010gardenchallenge.htm for
more information.

I hope to see you on a Bikes to Victory Gardens tour. Sign up by
September 17th and receive a t-shirt or yard sign to place along your
tour.

Hope to hear from you soon ... V!
