Hi. How do I change the default font in a text box?  Right now the default font is Helvetica—I would like to change it to Lucinda Grande.  I haven't been able to find an option for this in EazyDraw preferences. Thanks.

That is on the main Font panel (access from Text main menu, Font submenu).  At the bottom is the "set default" button.

I guess I will piggy-back on this thread since my question is very close.

I have no problem with Helvetica, but I would like my default font SIZE to be 9.  I've tried this:

Click on "9" in the Fonts dialog (tried with and without a graphic being selected).
Click the "Set current as default" button.

Size 9 font persists through the current session, but any time EazyDraw is restarted and I double-click to create a text box, the font size goes back to 12.  This is confusing because the tool-tip for the "Set current as default" button states that the selections will "persist for future sessions of EazyDraw".  Am I doing something wrong?

If I may throw in a related topic: I have set up a Menu Keys file.  I would like for this file to be loaded every time EazyDraw is started.  Any way to do that?

Thanks!

Brett

I am running beta 5.3.0z so my comments apply to that version.

If I have a blank document or no document on the screen and go to Text ->Font ->Show Fonts, I can select the font from the bottom menu such as Arial and also type in the size such as 14 pt then press Set Current as Default.  When I restart, the new document will have those settings when I double click to create a text box. Seems to work for me so long as I start from scratch.

I have had the same problem with Menu Keys. EZDraw will sometimes remember keys but usually does not hold them. The only way I know for sure is save the settings and reload when you start up.  There are also can be some conflicts with OS hot keys and EZDraw menu keys to contend with. I have mentioned this to Dave and he says he will work on further in future versions.
