Unable to select green gradient handle on second object

When I have two objects with a shade or spot gradient, I seem to be
unable to select the green handle to change the orientation of the
gradient. I can select and move the handle on the first object, but
every time I try to click on the second object's green handle I can't
seem to select it in any way. Is there something I may be missing?
This has happened on two separate files that I have tried it on.

Report the bug I guess, I tried it and it seems to work. Best Idea is
to send in the actual drawing with the bug report.
