I drawed multiple lines and now iam searching for a shortcut which allows me to make all lines together longer or shorter. Ive tried all logical shortcuts like(first selecting the lines i wanna edit) cmd+dragging the handles.

Kind regards,

You should be a little more clear on what the multiple lines are, parallel, all over the place, etc. and what you are trying to accomplish.

For a group of vertical or horizontal lines, try grouping (Format/Grouping) the items into one item then dragging the side and they will all stretch in the direction.  Or try using the Morph command (Tools/Transform) to increase all the selected objects by a percentage increase.

To make my question clear. Situation: i am making a special music notation sheet so i have a staff, like 5 lines. It's very time consuming to change the length of every staffline seperatly. i want to change the length of all lines together. I don't want to change the thickness, only the length. Also when changing the length everyting has to snap to the grid. Is this possible?

When grouping a selection for some strange reason the 'snap to grid' function is not working. And is there a way without grouping to reach my goal? like holding some key + dragging on a handle?

Ok, this may be a question for Dave since the grouped object will not snap to the grid and there might a special thing to do first.

Another way to do it from your sketch:

1. Draw another horizontal line like the upper horizontal line and place it at the snap location you want the vertical lines to extend to.
2. Select all the vertical lines without grouping.
3. Use the Tools->Combine->Extend->End command
4. All lines should extend to the new horizontal line.
5. Delete the horizontal line if necessary.

You can also do the same thing one line at a time by just double-clicking on the end of the line and it will extend to the horizontal line.

For newer versions of EazyDraw: use the Node Edit tool, select all the ends of interest then move them in unison.  Or (any version of EazyDraw) turn on Guide line snapping, then move the first, then it is easy to move the others one at a time but they will snap to same length and parallel. Both of these will work for a set of lines running in any direction.  And - if they are not horizontal or vertical remember you can pin the angles of the lines, this will help in many situations.
