Hi Moms,
I just found my Books Inc Frequent Reader Club card that I used at the store on Castro. I have 2 purchases on there. If any of you could use it, I will be happy to mail it to you.
Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather today!

Hi Michelle-

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to tie up loose ends!
If nobody else makes use of it, I can pass the card along to my sister-in-law... but only if nobody else is interested.

More importantly -- how fun to hear from you!

I thought of you the other day because Samsung cut our product (music application on Samsung phones & tablets) and one of the first thoughts I had was that I could hang out with the moms!  For the past 2 weeks I've been going back and forth about whether I should work full-time, part-time, or stay-at-home-and-work-all-the-time-mom....  in the end, I think I'd like to work part-time since the moms group made it look so appealing!

I also had a moment where I thought I needed to stay home and spend time with Baby Anna because she had developed a very irritating way to demand things... it was like a whiney moan... and I decided that she must be getting neglected and therefore is learning creative ways to get people's attention.  Turns out that I was just under the weather that day and wasn't tolerating much of anything all that well...

And now that Anna is about to turn 1 next week.. it's time to start working out and seeing how much of my old self I can find underneath my mommy armour.

Saima -- we saw you about a month ago... are you still hanging in there in 3rd trimester?
Oh.. 3rd trimester is much much harder the 2nd time around.. can't imagine the 3rd time.  You are brave!

How is everybody doing?

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you!

Michele

Michele,

Sorry to hear about your job--but everything has a silver lining. I hope you've been able to have some down time. Just when I was enjoying my newfound leisure time, a couple new opportunities have popped up for me. (my last major contract finished last month). So, now it looks like I'll have a few different contracts keeping me busy for the next few months.

While part-time (like any of the choices) is not perfect, I've found it to be a pretty good option for me. I hope it works out for you the same--let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Hope everyone else is doing great!

Sorry to hear about your job Michele—sometimes it seems as if things have a funny way of working out when we need them to, doesn’t it? Whatever you end up deciding to do, it will be the right thing.

Take care everyone! Miss you all!

Sorry about your job, Michele. I agree that sometimes things just move in a certain direction and this sounds like a great opportunity to get some time with the little ones. I can't believe Anna is already one! I think working part-time has worked out well. The toughest part is finding time in the schedule for yourself. I am enrolling in a new gym that has a cafe, lounge area, spa, etc so that I can drop the girls off at childcare and go to yoga, get a pedi, or just sit and read a magazine (I remember Kate doing something similar at the Y and I aspire to do the same!). Keep us posted on what happens and good luck! I will also drop the books inc card off in the mail for you.

Looking forward to hearing about the arrival of Saima's baby!

Jessie- congrats on the new opportunity...so much for slowing down for now...

Have a great weekend everyone!

Michelle

I'm also sorry to hear about your job Michele. Hopefully everything will work out for the best. Let us know how things go. And happy first birthday to Anna! I can't believe she's one already.

I'm doing fine except it turns out my baby is breech. I'm seeing a chiro to see if I can get it to turn naturally before trying an external version. Fingers crossed!

Hope everyone is doing well!

So stressful, Saima!  I can't even imagine what it's like to find out that baby is breech. You remember Kate's story at dinner, right?  Hopefully you have the same talented and strong doctors!

Thank you, all, for your support. I'm going to take my severance package and run. I had tried to interview internally and the person I talked to spent the majority of the interview talking about how horrible the position was. I'm going to take a little break and hope that I can find a position with an educational company or maybe google.

Hope everybody is doing great!

Thank you!
Michele

Good news, seeing the chiro worked for me!  After about 7 adjustments, the baby finally turned!  I had a version scheduled this week that's now canceled, I can just wait to go into labor.  Fingers crossed this baby's not a mover and will now just stay put :)

Hope everyone is having a good weekend also!

This made my day. Excellent news. I'm very relieved for you, Saima. That must have been stressful.

Saima, This is wonderful news.  Fingers crossed for staying head down.  Keep us posted.  Thinking of everyone, play date soon!  I really want to see all the kiddos.
