Hello Moms, (in Colorado & Austria, too!)

Hope everybody is enjoying mommyhood & doing great!

Alex is 3 years old now and Baby Anna is 6 months old.  Alex still thinks being a big brother is fun... we hope he continues to think that for a long time...

Alex is still at Wonder Years.  They have a "mandarin immersion" program and so he goes and learns chinese songs and gets instruction in chinese for a few hours each afternoon.  His potty training is coming along... we still put a diaper on him at night but it's been dry for a few days now... so maybe that will transition away sometime in the next month?

Anna is wearing Size 4 diapers and Alex wears size 5 diapers... Anna is on the chubby side.  Alex has always been on the lean side... in a pinch, they could wear each other's diapers.
Anna is also an awesome sleeper... just put her in the crib at 7:30pm and walk away... and she sleeps until 7am.  Alex... total opposite... he still needs somebody to lay down with him for all his naps and nighttime.  and he wakes up asking for one of us in the morning.  I did put my foot down and kicked him out of my bed.  But he still asks, "tomorrow can I sleep with you, Mama?".

Anyways -- I attached a pic.  Hope you have time to share a pic of what you and your kids are up to.

And I am looking for a mother's helper.  I must be doing something wrong or rude because my current mother's helper quit on me... though I suspect that I found enough work for her that my hours just made her day too long.  At least I hope that's the reason she moved on.

Hope you all are doing great and hope that I get to see all of you soon!

Michele

This is at Cuesta park where we all met!

P.s. If you have seen this. It still makes me laugh and brings back fun memories.

Awwww...tooooo cute!  She is just darling in her little red outfit, all smiles.  I love it.

Zachary and I went to see Thomas the Train last weekend at the Colorado Train Museum, which was just magical!  We had so much fun.  William is doing great!  He's at home with a wonderful nanny, and gets lots of outside time while the taking is good (there's weather here in the winter).  We bought one of those hiking backpacks you stuff kids into and we've been discovering some amazing trails literally in our backyard!  I can't believe I've been here 2 years and didn't know this was here.  But then again, the first year I spent pregnant, and the second in babyland.

My Etsy shop has been a lot of fun.  I've been busy making bags!  I'm also half way through an elimination program (Whole30, if anyone has heard of it).  It's going really well.  The first 2 days without sugar and carbs hit me like a freight train, but now I am in the hang of it.  The only problem is, I pretty much have to make my own dinner (thank heavens for Google making my breakfast and lunch, or else I would have never made it), and I pretty much suck at cooking.  Here's one (of many, MANY) things I've learned - putting wet brussel sprouts into a very hot pan of oil produces the most magnificent plume of smoke your kitchen has ever seen, and a very far reaching oil splatter on your counters.  My husband was not amused.
