This has nothing to do with eating local foods, but I just read about
a conservation program being offered in Fulton, Henry, and Lucus
country. The program is looking to turn non-productive farm land back
to Oak Savannas by planting various kinds of oaks, wild grasses, and
wild flowers. To qualify the land must have been farmed at least 4
years from 2002-07. Call Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation
for details, 419-337-9217
