"Choosing, Preparing and Enjoying Fresh Produce" Workshop
When: Wednesday July 8, 2009
6:30 - 8:30 pm
Cost: $15.00

Location: Toledo Botanical Garden conference center (5403 Elmer Drive, Toledo, OH 43615)

This workshop will focus on increasing home use of local fruits and vegetables, either from the home or community vegetable garden or local farmers markets.  We will talk about popular produce as well as lesser known types of fruits and vegetables that can be grown in Northwest Ohio.  We will talk about washing, storing, preserving and the many ways of preparing the bounty.  Last, but not least, we will enjoy the value and taste of fresh local produce.
