Google Tag Manager

We are using easyXDM for loading our ticketing system within an iframe of our existing sites.

We want to implement Google Tag Manager however it is not firing on the iframe pages. It is placed within the body as per the google instructions but I believe something to do with the iframe is stopping it from firing under our circumstances.

Is there a correct way for doing this?
