Hi All,

I am trying to check the demos of screen share/receive.
https://localhost:8443/demos/demo_screen_send.html
https://localhost:8443/demos/demo_screen_receive.html

But I see following errors in the console of sender demo.

Initializing with username usr1                                 demo_screen_send.js:58
accepted the call                                                    demo_screen_send.js:149
Trying getUserMedia a second time                         easyrtc.js:2031
getusermedia failed                                                easyrtc.js:1992
invoking error callback InvalidStateError                   easyrtc.js:2007

  • I tried with both Chrome and Chrome Canary browsers.
  • I am using https server only to check this demo.
  • Are we required to install any plugin for this demo to work? Is there any specific plugin available for easyrtc? (I see one for bistri/appear.in sites)

Even I am trying with demo.easyrtc.com urls as well. But I see same errors there also.
http://demo.easyrtc.com/demos/demo_multistream_iframe.html
http://demo.easyrtc.com/demos/demo_multistream_no_iframe.html

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
Suresh

Hi Suresh,

don't use the demo_screen_send.html and demo_screen_receive.html. You don't see them showing up in the list of demos because they don't work any more, and the functionality they relied on in chrome was so poor that they barely worked to start with.

To use demo_multistream_iframe.html, you'll need to have an https server, and you'll need to install Muaz Khan's plugin. See

his page at https://github.com/muaz-khan/WebRTC-Experiment/tree/master/getScreenId.js

The no_iframe version requires that you create your own copy of his plugin, install on the chrome webstore, and modify a few keys to point to your plugin. That requires a fair bit of reading on your part to understand how to use. Google has not made it easy, but there are other pages out there that explain how it works.

Beyond that, one of the other users on the group will have to assist.

Hi Suresh,

I'm also trying the same thing but just not able to figure out how to put the plugin into my code. Can you please guide me through the process.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Neeraj
