Instant Messaging - Obtaining ID

I am a beginner with easyRTC, and so I could use some help to see where is what.

I downloaded easyRTC from github and I want to play a bit with instant messaging. When I run a demo on a easyRTC wep page with demos, of course, it works. However, when I open the instant_messaging html file from the demos folder from my laptop (from downloaded easyRTC), I can't obtain ID (I opened it in firefox). My question is: how do I resolve this, to make it work just like it works on the demo page of easyRTC?

I believe that the problem is with setting the servers and clients. I am a beginner with that as well, with a basic knowledge, so this should be a good point to start learning from.

EDIT: I would like to be able to run it on local host, of course.
