I see that a rose-loving friend has joined the group. So we'd better
start talking.

What's the number-one rose on your list that you'd like to grow this
year?

I'm really eager to get my hands on Silver Jubilee, Rosa Mundi, and
Gloire de Dijon. The first is a hybrid tea that looks like one of the
most lovely roses ever bred in that class. Supposedly it is relatively
disease-resistant too. I'm not a huge HT fan, but sometimes I just
gotta have one.

For some reason I've never grown Rosa Mundi, thought I've loved it for
years.

Gloire de Dijon is a Noisette or tea (depending on whom you ask) with
blooms of a lovely creamy apricot. For some reason I'm smitten by the
creams and soft yellows and orangey-pinks these days.
