Hey Y'all!
This Sunday the Easy Riders have got a real special treat for
you...we're going to take a field trip to the super secret Leach
Botanical Gardens (
http://www.leachgarden.org/)! Who knew? It's been a
while since we've done a wonky ride, so if you're not planning on
riding Bridge Pedal, join us! (Bridge Pedal, by the way is an awesome
ride if you haven't done it before, and a fund-raiser for the
BTA...but the BTA will be just as happy with a check in the mail).
The ride is a flat (except for one tiny spot), easy paced, less than
20 mile ride. We'll go from Stumptown on Division through Woodstock to
the Springwater Trail which we'll take east a few miles to the Garden.
The Garden doesn't open till 1:00, so we'll have plenty of time to
poke along the Springwater and look for blackberries (along with the
rest of Portland). After an hour or so at the Garden, we'll meander up
towards Fubon to check out a secret bat route suggested by Mr. Aaron
Tarfman- Batroute Extraordinaire. From Fubon (not guaranteed a stop
here unless enough temper tantrums are thrown), we'll head towards
Clinton, and coast down to 21st and Clinton where we'll get our beer
on and compare berries.
