Jelly Bean 4.2 and display timeout

Hi,

I just updated my Galaxy Nexus to 4.2 today and noticed the display timeout setting to "never" no longer works as before. It seems to set the shortest possible display timeout now...

Hi Anssi,
there are two "never" settings (one as first, the other at last position).
You should try the other one.

Thanks! Same result though. Display dims after ten seconds and goes to black almost right away.

Easyprofiles can't seem to  toggle Aeroplane Mode any more either.

I have a Samsung gt-i9300 with jellybam 8.3.0 custom ROM loaded running android 4.2.2 and experience the exact same problems regarding screen timeout. I have tried both ends of the scale for the never position and that does not work. A limited timeout setting (10 minutes) does work but I am looking to get that functionality of the screen always staying on and not dimming back since I use it for my car.

I have a Nexus 4 running on Android 4.3

I just freshly installed EasyProfiles (which I had a long time on my EVO before)

Same here, both settings (left/right) do not work.

For setting most right it shows the setting always as "not set" in the "Zeige Abweichungen" (show mismatch/deviation?) box.

In the left position it is stated as correctly set but does not work.

Together with the non-funtional switch off of the lock screen this is just bad for e.g. my car-profile :(

another user reported that he found a work around for his device:
He's using app "Screen Timeout Toggle" and calls it as action out of EP.

The same problem. Is there a fix for this? I think this is an essential feature and it should solve by EasyProfiles not by an additional App.
