Hey everybody,

I'm using EP since a long time without any problems on my Samsung Galaxy S1 and S2. Some days ago I bought a HTC One with Android Stock rom 4.2.2 on it but now EP seems to have problems. I have no settings at all for mobile network, no flight mode and I can not switch the network from 2G to 3G and vice versa. Is this because of the HTC or because of the new Android version?

regards

G

BTW: the widget powerful control is able to switch the 2G/3G mode so I suppose it should work in EP too.

I noticed the same thing after getting the 4.2 update on my HTC One. Suddenly a lot of settings were gone. I expect this issue to be fixed very soon, but in the mean time I'm using another profile app called MyProfiles. Works great, but is a little bit too simple in defining rules.

I believe those settings are not available to EasyProfiles unless your phone is rooted due to changes in Android by Google.

For what reason? These settings are available in other profile apps such as MyProfiles, and was available in EasyProfiles before my HTC One got the 4.2 update. They even work in EasySwitch from the same developer as EasyProfiles!

all I know is that Google removed application access to settings such as GPS and the only way I've been able to use them is to root my phone, even with easyprofiles.

Other apps are having access at least to the flight mode and can switch between 2G and 3G without being rooted. Same is for EasySwitch, its also working without root. So its just EP which is a shame.......

Hi Gonzo,
I doubt that ES is able to switch 2G/3G without root, because this was NEVER possible in any of my apps.

Dear Kay,

first of all thank you for your reply.
Sorry for the statement with ES, I wrote it because another poster in this thread (Dalvik: "They even work in EasySwitch from the same developer as EasyProfiles!") mentioned it. As I found out today it's not working in ES.

Just wonder because my Samsung Galaxy S2 was rooted but EP had no root access at all and it worked beside this.
And as other apps like powerful control can do it on my HTC without root I hoped it will be possible with EP too.

So there will never ever be a chance to use this feature without root access with EP? If so that would be a pity because I love EP and I need all this features but dont want to root my HTC.

cheers

Gonzo

I only tested the Mobile network switch in ES. Sorry for assuming the other switches (background data, 2g/3g, airplane mode) also worked. I've tested now, and they don't.

But the Mobile network switch worked, and the main problem here for the thread starter (according to the title) and me is that this is missing in EP after we got the 4.2 upgrade. Can you please fix this?

Hello All,

The same here with a Samsung Galaxy S4 v4.2.2, unrooted. The mobile network switch is working in EasySwitch (and some other apps) but the setting is not visible in EasyProfiles. I think, it would work.

Dear Kay, I'm willing to help you to test on my device, just to switch on this disabled feature. I can provide you crashlogs, log cat output ( https://github.com/parhuzamos/adblogga ), anything you need.

Is it possible to re-enable this feature?

I've been using EasyProfiles since 2011 March and not willing to give up, but this feature is a must for me.

Thank you,
parhuzamos

Hi parhuzamos,
you mention that it works with EasySwitch but not in EasyProfiles.
Both apps use the same code and disable the feature upon the same criteria.
But in EP you are able to deactivate all network settings in its options.
Perhaps you activated that option?
Please have a look there.

Hi Kay-Ulrich,

The switch "Deactivate Radio Attributes" in "Common Settings" is OFF, of course. And "Supervise mobile network"  is ON. I tried flipping the switches, rebooted the phone two times but no use. (Those settings were exported from my HTC Desire HD and imported into the Galaxy S4. Everything worked well on the HTC.)
Also tried "Restre default settings" and "Cleanup Settings", but no use.

de.SmartDyne.Doneate.EasyProfiles 4.10.5 (Pro) no SB.

Thanks,
parhuzamos

Dear Kay-Ulrich,

Do you have any ETA when this feature is copied from Easy Switch to Easy Profiles? Mobile data switching on/off is working well in Easy Switch, but not enabled/displayed in Easy Profiles.

Thank you,
Bence

Is it impossible to implement?

Thanks,

My HTC One now has 4.4.2. Mobile network toggle still works with EasySwitch, but is unavailable in EasyProfiles (Deactivate Radio Attributes is NOT ticked off). This issue is almost a year old. Why can't you fix it?
