Believe it or not, I actually own a beta vcr and have lots
of stuff still on beta. Its in a box somewhere, god knows
where....

Agreed.

Downhill Battle is doing a lot of good stuff. I've participated in a few
of their actions. I'm even on their opt-in mailing list.

I would have called in as part of the Save Betamax campaign, but there
wouldn't have been anyone to answer me at the time of night I'm working.

Um, the decision in question you're laughing about? It's commonly called
"The Betamax Decision". Nevermind the fact that Beta "died" as a medium.
The decision itself had some really good side-effects.
