New Release of EasyLog 5 and other topics

There has been a new release of EasyLog 5.  It is available for download to those whose support is current from the User Reserved Area on www.easylog.com/eng.  Release notes for this new release are available as a PDF file from the Manuals page of my web site or from the files area of the EasyLog_Newsletter_Eng group on Google.  

 

Unfortunately, Google will be discontinuing the Pages and Files part of Google Groups in the near future.  As I understand it, no new files or pages may be uploaded after January 13, 2011 and in February those features will be removed (with all the files and pages).  After that, the only source for updated manuals and release notes will be the Manuals page of my web site.  This was surprise to me and is not in my control.

 

Since the first of the year, the Check file, Manager database, and Custom Awards database have been updated.  These are available from EasyLog Wiki at www.easylog.com/wiki.  Please read the installation instructions there and be sure to back up your logs before any installation is done.  This is the only way to recover your logs in the unlikely event that something should go wrong.
