Hi all,

First, thanks for sharing your work..
I have issues with the capture preview using my EasyCap (Somagic 3f), have a look to the attached picture.

I have tried several confs (ntsc 60hz, Pal, sync=1, etc..) but i can't get a proper preview.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 hosted on Win7 x64 VMware Player.
My video device is a GoPro 3 White, i also tried to change conf (PAL/NTSC) on my camera but it had no effects.

Somebody has any idea ?

Thanks,

Anthony

Can it be that VMware add some delays in the usb isochronous stream, and that causes these breakups?

Notice that you have two points where you set PAL or NTSC encoding. First is somagic-capture and second is mplayer.
Did you try to set them both in same way?

@Jon Arne
I think too it can affect performance , i will try on a persistent Ubuntu installation.

@Bartek Zdanowski
Yes i noticed them, i tried commands for NTSC and PAL seen in man somagic-capture, so these two points are setted.
