I'm running fedora 20 64 bit and trying to install drivers for an easycap dc60 usb.
I managed to do the firmware on the device using the instruction here: https://code.google.com/p/easycap-somagic-linux/wiki/GettingStarted

I'm now following the instructions at https://code.google.com/p/easycap-somagic-linux/wiki/BuildingKernelModule, and when I get down to the parargraph on compile it says:
make menuconfig

Device drivers --->
Multimedia support --->
Media USB Adapters --->

Find the entry called "Somagic SMI2021 USB video/audio capture support".

however when I do

Device drivers --->
Multimedia support --->

there is no Media USB Adapters --->

and I can't find any "Somagic SMI2021 USB device. Can anyone help?

Did you apply the smi2021v3.patch patch file cleanly? Do you have USB support enabled on your machine?

thankyou for your response, I did manage to find the Somagic SMI2021 USB device entry but when I ran make it always crashed with errors when it got to the SMI2021 section.
