Hi!
I just searched all the topic, and didn't find solution. My problem is that after I start somagis-capture, it doesn't return anything. I did everything from this tutorial:
https://code.google.com/p/easycap-somagic-linux/wiki/GettingStarted
When I type sudo somagic-capture > capture.dat the file capture/dat is empty.
This is what happens after I type one of the examples from manual:
stas@Pankracy:~$ sudo somagic-capture | mplayer -vf yadif,screenshot -demuxer rawvideo -rawvideo "pal:format=uyvy:fps=25" -aspect 4:3 -

Hello guys,

My name is Cleiton, I'm with same problem.

I am running on Ubuntu. Everything builds and installs fine. No errors.

I see similar results as reported. Image is "jumpy" (image attached). I tested in to diferent computers with but I got the same problem. I installed on Windows 7  on the same computer (I have on this dual boot, Ubuntu and Windows) and on Windows all works fine.

I'm searching about 2 weeks to resolve this issue but until now, I can't found any solution. On project website I found some users relating the same problem ( https://code.google.com/p/easycap-somagic-linux/issues/detail?id=25&can=8 ).

Someone can help me?

Hi, looks like I have also seen that "jumpy" picture.
For example,
good: https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/15499/73339514.33/0_f06d6_97a8d169_orig.jpg
jumpy: https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/16165/73339514.33/0_f06d7_aa47f2e9_orig.jpg

I use x86 hardware and can only reproduce that using motion if requesting 10 FPS from V4L
