Two days ago, I have set up EasyAPNS and also successfully integrated
it in my application. It all worked fine until today, when this error
occurs instead of the cron-script being executed properly. Due to
restrictions, I have to call the script using a regular HTTP-Request
as suggested in a posting somewhere around here.

This is the error message I get:

Warning: stream_socket_client() [function.stream-socket-client]: SSL
operation failed with code 1. OpenSSL Error messages: error:
14094414:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert certificate revoked
in [...]classes/class_APNS.php on line 384

Does anyone have an idea why the certificate seems to have been
revoked and what I could do to fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Who are you running the cron job as? You more than likely need to be
running as the same user that apache is running as. Look at your
httpd.conf file for the user, it is probably "apache" or "www-root" or
something like that. Try running your cron job as that user and tell
us how that goes.

I think I accidentally hit "Reply to author", so I'm reposting this
here:

My webhoster doesn't let me choose the user I am running things with,
but I guess that's why I will always run everything using the same
account/user. Also, most confusing, is, that everything did work
perfectly before and just stopped doing so since a few hours (without
me changing anything).

Okay, back on my Mac I was able to solve the problem by going through
the complete process of generating the certificate again. Not sure,
why that was necessary. I really hope I won't have to do this every 2
or 3 days from now.

If anybody knows as to why this problem occurs, I'd still be really
interested in an explanation to avoid any further confusion.
