I use maxDate: "+1m",
in frontend_book.js and frontent_book_min.js to limit the maximum date client is allow to book. For example if today is 1 February, he can only book up to 1 March,  but it simply does not work.
I tried clearing cache in my browsers on my end and with 3-4 different devices it still shows the dates after 1 month available, is there a cure for this?
Client is running 1.4.1 and I dont want to update since I havent made his install and I dont know what things he has changed so far...
I also tried alternatives like "+30d" or "1w" just to test and changed "1w" with '1w' but still no luck I dont know what the issue is... Anyone can help?

there are many places that you have to edit in the code

Could you point them to me if you have experience? I am really struggling with this and I see my only option is to update to 1.5.1 however I am concerned it will corrupt the website since they have lots of custom stuff and translations..

you can compare the clients files to the default files to find changes and see if upgrading would be feasible. Might be the less stressful path
