What are you trying to do? Privileges may be referring to Linux privileges (ownership/group and file/folder privileges). You may need to set that up.

I am trying to update settings and other admin functions. when i click apply or save, thats when i get the error message.

Please check the image, that is exactly what i get when i try to perform this function. i have changed the permissions on almost all the files and folders.
