SMTP error with php 8.2 and 1.5 dev4

Hello,

I got theses errors :

ERROR - 2023-09-22 14:54:48 --> Severity: Warning --> fsockopen(): SSL operation failed with code 1. OpenSSL Error messages:
error:1408F10B:SSL routines:ssl3_get_record:wrong version number /var/www/html/easyappointments/system/libraries/Email.php 2023
ERROR - 2023-09-22 14:54:48 --> Severity: Warning --> fsockopen(): Failed to enable crypto /var/www/html/easyappointments/system/libraries/Email.php 2023

Any idea how to fix this ?

Nextcloud is installed on same server , and same Email settings works well...

On same server, with 1.4.3 it works like a charm with same email settings.

Tried again with 1.5dev4 : same errors

it was a fresh for both 1.4.3 and 1.5dev4

Hello! 

Version 1.5 replaced the PHP mailer library with the internal CI3 one, so there may be some differences on how SMTP is treated. 

You will need to update the /application/config/email.php as shown in the docs here: 

https://developers.easyappointments.org/framework/libraries/email.html#email-preferences
