Hi,

Just trying to install the Easy!Appointments on my site.  I have the configuration file edited, pointing to an existing DB.

When I go to access the backend, to select my tables / fields I get a  "No input file specified. " That's it nothing else.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

I have the exact same issue for about a week now and cannot figure it out and I do web development!!!! I have tried rewriting htaccess files in multiple different ways, checked with my hosting to see if the servers are set correctly and nada but I did have the application working perfectly on my local environment with MAMP. If you find a solution please post it as I have given up and my partner and I have went back to developing our own appointment app that will be wrapped in actionscript and made as a mobile app.

Ok, Today I got an error 404, (Not verbatim)

Make sure that the easyAppointments was installed in my public_html (root) folder.  I did that.  I had it in a subdirectory.

Another message that didn't apply

And also make sure that if I have an htaccess.txt, I need to rename it to .htaccess.  AND make sure that I have these rules

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L]

IF I change the .htaccess to the above I get the same no input file specified.
IF I leave my file with the following I get an entirely different error,  .png attached.
I have no idea what to do with that error message.

I also checked mySQL DB, I have ea_tables in the DB, but they are empty, except for my user info.  So Its connected to my DB, and writing to it.

Any Ideas?

RewriteEngine On

I am having the exact same problem: No input file specified.  Using the same htaccess config as you, Sandy, with Ver 1..  No clue how to solve this.

OK, it turns out it is a rather simple fix.  Simple modify the following line in htaccess to include a ? after php, as follows:
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]

Hello all
follow this guide to resolve this issue..

In config.php:

$config['index_page'] = "index.php?";
$config['uri_protocol'] = "QUERY_STRING";

You should now be able to access everything as such:

Once you get to a point where you want to hide the 'index.php?' paste this into your .htaccess file:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?$1 [L]
You should now be able to access everything as such:

The .htaccess file must be in Unix LF only style. If you use Notepad or Wordpad and upload an .htaccess file in CR/LF style it won't work.

But still I do not understand how to get rid of "/" problem.
I hope u understand this if you had this problem.
