Please be advised, I am aware that many of you have changed units and/or relocated altogether. My email distro list will not be updated until March 1, when the Council certifies the recharters. Until, then you may get these emails. Please feel free to let me know of you no longer wish to receive them because you are no longer serving Boys Scouts in East Trinity Trails District. I will do my best to remove you from the list prior to the final recharter certification.
I enjoyed seeing a lot of you at our Roundtable! We were treated to members of Crew 1869 greeting us at the door and making sure we had name tags, found our seats, and took our mail. I received rave reviews on their energy and happiness at being in attendance and assisting the Roundtable Commissioners out. We enjoyed them as well and look forward to their assistance and company in the future! It is not every day you run across an all-girl Venture Crew in BSA! Our Big Rock was presented by AJ Wessler on the Aims of Scouting! It was very informative and grounding at the same time. He reminded us “leaders” why we do what we do. Thanks for the reminder!
Recharter –
Recharter season is closed! We have a few stragglers out there and we are working to close them up. If we notify you of any items the Council has flagged as “defective” or missing on your recharter, please respond quickly to get thee items resolved. Many thanks to those of you who put in countless hours to get the paperwork done. We have had a banner year turning in recharters and showing the rest of the Council how it is done!
Roundtable -
As reminder, Roundtable Big Rock will be presented by Phillip Norton. He will talk with us about the Webelos to Scout transition.
The Cub Roundtable will be learning about Aqua Cubs, in preparation for Summer. The Boy Scout Roundtable will be doing a chuck-box show and tell. We ask any and all Scout Troops to bring your box to show off! This will allow all of us to get a “best practices” feel for the night.
Our next Roundtable is at Celia Hays Elementary at 1714 Tannerson Dr, Rockwall, TX 75087, on March 9, 2017 at 7:30 PM. The Cracker Barrel starts at 7:30 PM, the Flag Ceremony starts at 7:45 PM. I look forward to seeing everyone at Roundtable!
