Attached is a notice of the City Plan Commission public hearing on proposed amendments to the Land Use provisions of the City of Spokane Municipal code for mobile food vending. The purpose of this proposal is to amend the City’s Unified Development Code, Title17.C, to clarify the zones in which mobile food vending is a permitted use by amending the list of uses within the commercial, industrial, downtown and center and corridor zones, and allowing mobile food vending as a limited use in these zones.  The limitation will specify that mobile food vendors must be licensed pursuant to SMC Title 10 Division II, Mobile Food Vendor Licensing which will be a new license category. Currently mobile food vending is permitted generically in any zone which allows retail or service uses.
