concerns over not only this issue but the deputies’ responses as well.

Please accept my thanks, Captain Evans, as well as the thanks of
Frank’s Ristorante, Miami Blues, and the Beach Barbershop, all of whom
reported that they saw a swift and sure response to this issue all day
today. We are all very pleased with the visible steps you took to
immediately address our concerns. I know that we all look forward to
a day when we can walk not only the beach but the entire East Side
with confidence. We are all also aware that this is a problem that
has long been in the making, and it won’t be fixed overnight. Please
rest assured that you have our full cooperation and support and we
will do our part to clean up our neighborhood.
