Here are meeting notes from last night's meeting:

Adizah to set up a blog for the group - please confirm the web
address, username and password once you have set this up. Leila/ Tessa
to email the text from the tea party flyer about the group

Lucy - we wanted to check it was ok for Adizah to set up the blog for
the group and to say the views expressed were the members of the group
and not Oxfam's etc. Please let us know if this is ok?
Please can you also email me the Oxfam logo and blank 'Do you want to
get more involved in tthe East London Campaigns' sign up sheet.

Claire - to produce 10-20 business cards which we can hand out when
attending other events and for new members. It will include; the logo,
facebook group, google group and blog

We also need someone to design a poster to put up in the gallery cafe.

Lucy - the group would like to be involved with 'Artopia' as we want
to engage with the local community and artists. Are we able to be
involved in some way other that coming along in August and trying to
recruit members?! We feel that by being involved with events and
putting on events this will attract members as people will see we are
an active group. Please let us know how we can be involved?!

Leila - to try and source a speaker for our discussion evening.
Tessa - to contact other East London campaigns groups who support the
Robin Hood tax and ask if they would like to take part in a joint
discussion / MP letter writing event.

1234 Shoreditch - 24th July. Adizah & Tessa to attend with Hannah and
possibly Jen (if no-one else from the facebook members reply!) from
London Outreach. Meet at Shoreditch park between 10.45 & 11am, event
starts at 12pm. The event runs until 10pm but I propose we campaign
until 5pm. Campaign is on Robin Hood tax and we can also promote the
group. Claire it would be good to have 20 or so business cards for
this (I can chip in with the cost!)

Next meeting on Mon 19th July, 7-8pm at the Gallery Cafe.

Thanks

Tessa

Hi all,

yes, Adizah, please do set up the blog. That would be brilliant.

Artopia- I would love you to be involved. Perhaps one of you could volunteer with us there each day, that way you can talk to people  who come in about your group?? And then at the launch night we will have a campaign table for you to recruit people?

Thanks guys,

Lucy x

HI Everyone

I have contacted about 8 local charity groups to see if they want to
work with us on organising a discussion/ letter writing event in
August/ earyl Setember on the Robin Hood Tax and so far Greenpeace and
the World Development Movement are really keen. The local Greenpeace
group are keen to come to one of our meeting to help us plan so would
anyone object to them coming along?!

Thanks

Tessa

ok, great. We have a meeting tomorrow at 7-8pm and would anyone object
to having a meeting so that the Greenpeace group can come along on the
26th? As is Mon 2nd the opening night of Artopia?
