Invitation to report launch even on 3rd June

Hi there East london friends,

I just wanted to invite you to a bit of a special event happening next Thursday lunch time from 12-1:30pm. We are launching our newest report, 21st Century Aid here in London and Andrew Mitchell will be making his first speech as the new Secretary of State for International Development.

We have around 10 spaces for activists to come along, with a possible chance for conversation with him (or just to observe if you would rather.)

Please do let me know as soon as you can if you would like to come along to this.

21st Century Aid - Recognising success and tackling failure

Debate organised by Oxfam GB

Oxfam's latest report, 21st Century Aid - Recognising success and tackling failure argues for a new approach to aid that builds on its achievements whilst acknowledging that inefficiencies and misplaced political and economic incentives driving aid need addressing. The report examines the evidence, takes on the arguments of the aid critics, and finds that whilst there is much room for improvement, good quality 21st century aid not only saves lives, but is indispensable in unlocking poor countries' and people's ability to work their way out of poverty.

Discussing the findings of the report and the roadmap forward for new, 21^st century aid will be:
