Memorial Walk on Monday April 1
A family and community were torn apart by a horrific collision on Monday, March 25th as they crossed NE 75th St in front of Eckstein Middle School. It's the sort of tragedy we hear about all too often, and yet it happens over and over again in our cities where streets are simply not designed for safety.
Join us on Monday, April 1st at 4 p.m. in front of Top Pot Doughnuts 6855 35th NE (bus 65, 71). We will walk to pay our respects to the family, and we will walk to send the message that we want safer streets for everyone in Seattle. These tragedies don’t need to keep happening.
Additional details about the walk can be found here:

We support the goals of Seattle’s Road Safety Action Plan to achieve zero fatalities and serious injuries by taking action. With more effective public policy, better engineering, stricter enforcement and more responsive education, thousands of deaths and injuries can be prevented.
Mayor Michael McGinn and other leaders of the community will walk with us. Top Pot has graciously offered free coffee and donuts. Please help us pay our respect and show support for safe, healthy streets!
########Thank you#########
