My visiting boyfriend, has had his vehicle vandalized twice in the
last week. It was parked on Yale, between Boston and Newton. Please
keep your eye out for suspicious activity, and please report to the
police.

My neighbor had the rear window of his van broken in a pretty clear
case of vandalism Saturday night. Intersection of Lynn and Minor. He
didn't seem interested in reporting to the police and I'm not sure
what if any good that would do.

He should report it. Politically speaking, the only way to get better
coverage, if you will, by police in our neighborhood is to have the tools -
statistics - to show that there is a problem. While increased patrols, or
wrapping Eastlake into one precinct instead of two, won't fix the rear
window of the van, it very well may prevent the replacement window from also
being smashed.

My boyfriend and at least 2 other neighbors that I know of had their cars broken into and things stolen...Boston/Minor area.  Don't leave anything visible in your car that may look valuable...backpacks, blankets covering up things, etc.  We reported it to police.  We regularly see broken glass around our streets.  Beware!

Well said Michael.

I was about to write the same.
