Maybe this wasn't communicated properly? Some people went ahead and postered in public residence hall areas.

As far as I know, people got a hold of the posters and put them up in the dorms without the consensus of the planning committee. I don't think that this was anything that we ourselves did.

lol maybe i have a faulty memory, or i was talking to you in my dreams, like i always do larry :]
in that case, then i think some people are putting the big posters on their dorm door which they're not supposed to do. i guess we just need to ask people to be careful about it in the future. cool, stuff. but i feel like we should still do the dorms, it would be a great way to get the word out there.

Um I don't remember saying that I would do this. I don't have any posters. I think Grace Lee and the team decided not to put them in the dorms, besides individual rooms.

I am writing to you because I noticed posters hung in Cascadilla hall that did not have approval stamps on them.  I would like to let you know the postering2 E2 policy for residence halls, so you can get them properly approved.  Unapproved posters are removed by residence hall staff.

At least 7 days before your event please bring the posters you would like posted in the halls to the Residential Programs office in Dickson hall.  They will be reviewed and if approved all posters will be stamped.  You will then be able to count out the number of posters needed for each building and Residential staff will put them up for you.  This will allow you to reach a larger audience and not violate building security by trying to get them all up yourself.

If you have any questions please let me know.

I live in Cascadilla and I thought we were able to put them on our doors? Sorry, I'll take them down. Other than that, posters and quarter cards have been appearing in the public hallways and bathrooms. I'll take those down as I see them too.

I was wondering though if we can send some posters to Dickson for approval?

Hey everyone,

You can put them on your own doors. That's fine. We'll have to take down the ones in the public bulletin boards/bathrooms that needs approval.

Thanks everyone. Sorry for our miscommunication.

Dickson requires a 1-week notice. It's okay.

Actually I think technically speaking there is a size limit of paper you can put on your door for supposed fire safety concerns. I'm pretty sure the posters are larger than this limit, but typically it's only a problem if your RA says something.

I think the fire marshals caught us if we had more than one piece of paper on our doors, but hopefully there won't be any random fire inspections this week lol anyway, even if we don't have posters in the dorms, I saw a zillion around campus so I think we're in good shape =)
