Now, this wasn't a rash decision. Neela thought and considered and pondered. She weighed all the pros and the cons, she learned as much as she could about her choices (which wasn't all that much) and she delayed until she was absolutely sure. But the truth of the matter was that she was miserable at the hold, and matters had little chance of improving. The Weyr was a big unknown, but there was at least a chance there. A chance for something grand. She didn't believe it would happen, I mean, what dragon could possibly choose a scrawny feral girl, but she had to try. She had at least to try.

Fingering her search token Neela took a deep breath and moved to one of the door that she's been told housed candidate masters. She raised her hand to knock, feeling Hopper's tail tighten around her neck. She stroked the blue in a calming gesture and then took a deep breath and knocked.

"'Ere we go" she murmured, both to herself and the fire lizard, as she waited for an answer.
