Lan did his best not to eye the new one sideways. Yeaghar. He filed the name away; it was good to know people's names. Instead, he gave the new boy a very convincing smile. There was almost certainly no reason to mistrust him, just because he started the conversation. Surely. But... one could never be certain, really. However, one could appear to be very convincingly trusting."Hi! I'm Lan." He smiled and held out his hand to shake. "I've been here a little while, but I'm from Southern originally. Welcome."
---------------------------------
"I was Searched by Southern dragons from a hold that looks to Southern," explained Lan, doing his best not to sound terribly unhappy about that hold, "but there was a flood at Southern's hatching cavern, and they brought the eggs here. We came over here to Stand, and when the others went home, I decided to stay." He left out the part about the cavern collapsing and squishing Southern's gold egg, along with several others. "And, uh... I'm a healer," he added. "Apprentice."
