T'val had heard that Anomi's golden egg had Hatched about two weeks ago, but hadn't managed to find the time to go visit her to meet her new firelizard yet. Until today, anyway. He headed to the Candidate Barracks and wandered along until he found her room, his hands in his pockets. Luigith was out helping some of the Weyrs resident and some wild flitters hunt for shinies and fish, so the young man's brown would be well occupied and not attempting to shove his body into the Candidate Barracks.

Knocking on her door, Tori bounced a little. He was a little nervous and excited to see Anomi again, and her new friend, and to spend time with her. He liked her a lot. She was nice, and could understand some of where he came from being a Holder herself. It wasn't that he didn't have other friends. T'val's other friends were more often more accustomed to Weyrlife, that was all, and it was sometimes nice not to worry about saying or doing the wrong thing. Luigith told him he worried too much, and Tori couldn't say his dragon was wrong, he just couldn't change it. Yet.

Curious as to who could be knocking on her door (and slightly worried it was Mikloran), Anomi was delighted to see T'val, and she beamed at him. Only shyness and propriety kept her from hugging him.

"T'val! It's so good to see you," she said. Other than the usual quiet, whispery quality of her voice, which was pretty much a constant anyway, she no longer had any issues speaking to him normally. "How are you? And, um, Luigith?"

Anomi looked over her shoulder to wear Future perched on her desk, and held out her arm. The gold hatchling winged over (wobbling only a little) and landed on Anomi's forearm. "Look, look, isn't she beautiful?" Anomi gushed, looking at her firelizard with starry, love-filled eyes. "I named her Future. Future, this is T'val, he helped me buy your egg!"

Future chirruped a friendly greeting, leaning so far forward in an attempt to examine and sniff the new person that she almost tipped off Anomi's arm.

"Hello, Anomi!" he replied brightly, a smile on his face. "I'm well, a bit busy, or else I would have come sooner to congratulate you again. I heard your egg hatched! Luigith is good as well. He's helping firelizards hunt fish and shinies at the moment." T'val watched eagerly as the young gold firelizard flew over from the desk, quite strong already. "Wonderful! She's gorgoues. Future, that's a very good name for her!" A warm chuckle escaped him as the young firelizard nearly tipped off her mistress's arm and he extended one hand towards her for her to smell and examine as she wished. "It's a wonderful pleasure to meet you, Future."

Tori looked towards Anomi, thinking. He'd brought a few pieces of different jerkies that he'd snagged from the kitchens, hoping Future might like some of them. "I brought some treats, if Future would like them? I don't know how picky she is about food. It's just some jerky, so I don't know if that's gourmet enough for her." It was said kindly, with a little amusement. T'val didn't expect Anomi to be a snob about what she fed her pet, but he did know her enough to expect that she'd want to give this little gold jewel anything she wanted.
