hooded merganser mammoth lakes

I found a  female hooded merganser yesterday, tues, at one of the ponds  of Snow Creek Golf  Course. The ponds are easy to see from old mammoth road. Bob Hogan and I saw the bird this am, wed.  from my car. Driving out of town up old mammoth road  its the second pond, the first pond being the biggest one. The golf course is closed and its probably all right to walk onto the course........probably
